Moscow: At least ten people have been reportedly killed and 20 people have received injuries after twin explosions rocked metro system in the Russian city of St. Petersburg on Monday afternoon.

One of the explosions took place on a subway car at the Sennaya Ploshchad station, state-run TASS reported.


Another Russian news agency, RIA Novosti and some eyewitnesses claimed that there were twin blasts at two metro stations. 


A video showing the site scene after the deadly explosions rocked the St Petersburg subway was released on social media.
