7 dead, 9 critical in collision between minibus and lorry in Andhra`s Anantapur

At least seven persons died and nine others in a critical condition after a minibus collided with a lorry in Andhra Pradesh`s Anantapur district on Friday.

HYDERABAD: At least seven persons died and nine others in a critical condition after a minibus collided with a lorry in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapuram district on Friday.

The incident took place on National Highway 42 near Tanakal village. .The injured were rushed to a nearby government hospital for treatment.

Police personnel rushed to the spot.

The driver of the minibus is currently absconding and a case has been filed against him.

Most of the deceased belonged to the Tanakulla mandal of Anantapuram district.An investigation into the matter is underway, reported news agency ANI.
