As per a PTI report, the army has set up a WhatsApp number for its soldiers to post their problems directly to army chief Gen Bipin Rawat instead of drumming it on social media. The WhatsApp number to register complaints is:+91-9643300008.

The move came after a video was posted by a BSF jawan in Facebook alleging poor and insufficient quantity of food served to them, even accusing senior officers of corruption.

Since it is a common WhatsApp number, it will be an arduous task for the officials to filter the relevant and genuine messages from frivolous ones.
