Congress likely to announce candidates` list for Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections on Thursday
The upcoming assembly elections are scheduled to be held in November and December.
Bhopal: The Congress is likely to announce its first list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections on Thursday. The statement came from state Congress president Kamal Nath on Wednesday, with barely a month left for MP to go to polls.
He said that the discussions were held over 40 names. "We are thinking of announcing one list tomorrow and another list day after," Kamal Nath added.
Last week, the grand old party released its list of candidates for Mizoram Assembly elections. Prior to that, Congress had also released the first list of 12 candidates for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 2018.
The upcoming assembly elections are scheduled to be held in November and December.
On October 23, Shiv Sena had released the first list of candidates for the Madhya Pradesh elections. The party had announced the names of 21 candidates who will contest in the upcoming polls.
