The manifesto called “Wachan Patra” was launched by state Congress leader Kamal Nath in Bhopal. It was released in the presence of Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Digvijaya Singh and other senior party members.

Launching the manifesto, Kamal Nath said that it was a historic day for the state as the party has released “Wachan Patra” and not "Ghoshna Patra". He said that the manifesto has been prepared after discussions with everybody.

"We will reshape the life of people of all classes, societies, victims, those who are exploited. We will also enrich the life of every individual and every family," said Kamal Nath.

The Congress leader accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of preparing a "Jumla Patra" to cheat the people for 15 years.

In the manifesto, several issues including that of the farmer loans, employment, women security, and several others were assured.

Addressing a press briefing, Kamal Nath said, "We'll fight against corruption, electricity bills of farmers will be reduced to half, debts of farmers will be waived off, social security pension will be increased from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, a grant of Rs 51,000 will be given for the marriage of girls, Rs 10000 per month for every unemployed youth of every family, and a legislative council will be constituted." The party also announced the reduction in diesel and petrol prices and opening 'Gaushalas' in every Gram Panchayat.

The Congress leader added, "Our thinking is positive, progressive and it is the thought of a new dawn. For the first time, promise and commitment are being assured in the manifesto."

The Congress released its sixth and final list for the Madhya Assembly polls on Thursday. The party is left with just one seat, Jatara, for its ally Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD). "With the final list out, we have declared candidates for 229 out of 230 seats," MP Congress spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi said.

Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to go for polls in a single phase on November 28. Results will be announced on December 11.
