New Delhi: Honda Cars India will soon launch, what is being touted as a Jazz-based crossover for India-the all new WR-V SUV in India on March 16.

The parent company had unveiled the all new WR-V at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil in 2016.


The new Honda WR-V was spotted at various dealerships across the country and was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads.


The carmaker has manufactured the new WR-V at the company's plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan.


Features of the all-new Honda WR-V


The Honda WR-V will have the tried and tested 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol which was fited in the Jazz.


The engine that produces peak power of 89 bhp and peak torque of 110 Nm and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a CVT have the same engine as that of the Jazz.


The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine with power output of 99 bhp and maximum torque of 200 Nm is mated to six-speed manual transmission.


The new Honda WR-V has redesigned headlamps with circular fog lamps, chrome door handles and diamond-cut alloy wheels, touch screen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and climate control.


Expect prices to be between Rs 7-10 lakh.


The new Honda WR-V competes with Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai i20 Active and Toyota Etios Cross in India.
