Boeing 737 plane crashes in China, all 132 passengers and crew dead

According to the local Chinese media reports, the Boeing 737800 plane crash caused a huge fire on the mountains and no survivors have been found.

A Boeing 737-800 passenger plane carrying 123 passengers and 8 crew members has crashed in China. The plane belonging to China Eastern Airlines crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou of Guangxi province and caused a mountain fire. The flight MU5736 was flying from Guangzhou to Kunming and departed the airport at 13.11 PM. The flight was scheduled to arrive at 15.05 PM. 

The plane had been cruising at an altitude 29,100 feet at 0620 GMT, according to FlightRadar24 data. Just over two minutes and 15 seconds later, the next available data showed it had descended to 9,075 feet. In another 20 seconds, its last tracked altitude was 3,225 feet.

China Eastern is one of China's three major air carriers. China's airlines had recorded over 100 million continuous hours of safe flight as of February 19, according to Zhu Tao, an official with the Civil Aviation Administration, the Post reported. The last domestic fatal incident was in 2010, when a plane crashed in Yichun, Heilongjiang province, killing 42 people. 

Back in 2018, a Lion Air Flight 610 operating Boeing 737 Max crashed, while another 737 Max crashed in 2019, operated by Ethiopian Airlines. All Boeing 737 MAX passenger planes were grounded worldwide following the two incidents. 

However, the plane operated by China Eastern Airlines is a regular Boeing 737-89P and doesn't belong to the Max family. As per the data from flight tracking website FlightRadar24, the plane was only 6-years old.
