New Delhi: One of the most popular actor-singers of Bhojpuri film industry, Pawan Singh has spoken against the vulgar and distasteful songs and even urged Bhojpuri music companies to not release them.

Bhojpurixp.com quoted the popular actor-singer as saying, “I urge music companies to only release songs which are in good taste and not promote vulgarity. The female actresses on whom such songs are picturised should not be objectified. Every male singer should respect the female singers as well.”


Aadi Shakti Films Music company had earlier given a green signal to several raunchy numbers, after which Pawan Singh was miffed with the owner of the company Manoj Mishra.


However, Mishra has now apologised for his move and promised to not release any distasteful song in Bhojpuri which hurts the sentiments of people. Mishra has been quoted as saying, “Pawan Singh is a great actor and I promise him that my company (Aadi Shakti Films Music) will not release any such songs which hamper the image of any individual or hurt their sentiments.”


Pawan Singh appreciated this move and added, “People tend to commit mistakes in life but it's a good gesture on Mishra's part to admit his fault and promise to rectify it.”


“I will always stay by his side and support his good deeds”, added Singh.


The actor-singer hails from Ara in Bihar. He has featured in several hit Bhojpuri films such as 'Devra Bada Satawela', 'Bhojpuriya Raja' etc to name a few.


He rose to fame with superhit song 'Lollypop Lagelu' which became a rage after its release. In 2016, he was Pawan was honoured with the Best Male Singer in the International Bhojpuri Film Awards.
