Allahabad: The son of Bihar Lok Sabha MP Ram Kishor Singh was killed in an accident on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.

Rajiv Pratap Singh, whose father Ram Kishor Singh alias Rama Singh is an LJP leader and represents the Vaishali constituency, was killed when his car collided with a truck on a highway under Soraon police station of the district's trans-Ganga region, police said.


"The incident took place near Bankat village of Soraon police station area. Rajiv was driving the Honda City and was the sole occupant of the car," in-charge of Soraon police station Satyendra Singh said.


"Rajiv, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to Swaroop Rani Nehru hospital in Allahabad. He was declared brought dead.


"He was coming from Patna, where he had spent his holiday with his wife. He was on his way to Himachal Pradesh where he was employed at a public sector bank," he said.
