“Listening to his conscience, Nitish Kumar decided to form an alliance with BJP.  But my conscience does not allow me to support Nitish Kumar's decision of forming government with the BJP,” said Anwar, as reported by news agency ANI.

The lawmaker further added that issues that created a rift between JD(U) and BJP in the first place still exists.

“I feel the reasons led put a rift when we walked out of alliance with the BJP are still relevant. In fact, those reasons are even more relevant under present circumstances,” he added.

“Given an opportunity, I'll certainly raise my concerns on the party forum,” said Anwar.

On Wednesday evening, Nitish Kumar ended his party's 20-month-old mahagathbandhan or grand alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal or RJD, and entered into a coalition with the BJP.

Nitish has sworn-in as the chief minister of Bihar.
