Nancy was kidnapped from Madhubani on May 25, following which the family filed a missing complaint with the police.

The girl's body was found on May 28 in the same village near a river bank.

The brutality of the attackers sent shivers down the spine of the family members and the villagers.

When Nancy's body was traced, it was found that her wrists were cut, her throat slit and acid was poured all over the body.

Reports say that Nancy's kidnappers abducted the girl so that her aunt's marriage could be stopped. However, this didn't happened and the marriage ceremony took place on May 26 as scheduled.

Unhappy with the marriage and in fear of being caught, the minor girl was killed.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the case.
