Armed activists of the Peoples War Group (PWG) raided Bharmachak village in Jehanabad district late on Sunday night and shot dead four people belonging to a lower caste, police said on Monday. Those killed in the attack were said to be CPI-ML supporters, they said. Police said that the shooting could be in retaliation to the killing of four PWG activists at Salarpur village in the same district on November 26.
Jehanabad Superintendent of Police Kamal Kishore Singh and District Magistrate H S Meena were camping at the village. A massive combing operation has been launched to nab the ultras. Bureau Report
