Dangal's historic success in China is a solid proof of it. The film is a biopic based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat who taught wrestling to daughters Geeta and Babita despite receiving flak from the peers. While Geeta became India's first female wrestler to win gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in 55 kg. Her sister Babita Kumari won the silver medal in 51 kg.

Aamir's massive body transformation and amazing acting prowess coupled with great supporting cast ensured its historic run at the box office not just in the country but abroad as well.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the recent figures of the film in China.

The film features Aamir in the lead, besides Sakshi Tanwar, debutantes Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar playing pivotal parts. In China 'Dangal' was released as 'Shuai Jiao Baba', which means 'Let's Wrestle, Dad'.
