Reportedly, both Vidya and Nimrat will be seen in the role of scientists in the film while Akshay will be seen in an integral role in the whole plot.
New Delhi: After wooing us with their brilliant chemistry in 'Hey Babyy' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are all set to sizzle on the silver together. If reports are to be believed, the duo has been signed in for R Balki's upcoming untitled film which will be an Indian space drama.
Notably, both Akshay and Vidya have previously collaborated with Balki and this won't be their first stint with the filmmaker. While Akshay worked with Balki in 'PadMan', Vidya did 'Paa' with him.
Rumours suggest that apart from acting in the film, Akshay will also be co-producing it under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film will be directed by Jagan Shakti and might also feature actress Nimrat Kaur, who has worked with Akshay in 'Airlift'. Reportedly, both Vidya and Nimrat will be seen in the role of scientists in the film while Akshay will be seen in an integral role in the whole plot.
A while back, it was reported that the film is titled 'Chanda Mama Door Ke' and it would be India's first astronaut film. However, the project had later got shelved due to monetary issue. However, BollywoodBubble quoted a source saying that the film is being tentatively titled 'Mahila Mandal'as it's about this group of women astronauts who venture into space and Mars for a mission.
In the meantime, apart from this Balki's untitled project, Akshay has a slew of films in his kitty right now. The actor is currently busy with 'Housefull 4', which got embroiled into a controversy after actor Nana Patekar and director Sajid Khan had to quit the project due to sexual misconduct charges on them.
He is also doing 'Good News' with Kareena Kapoor Khan and 'Hera Phera 3'.
