Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the day one collections of the film. He wrote, “#BadhaaiHo takes a FLYING START... Gets the advantage of partial holiday... Expected to score over the weekend... Thu ₹ 7.29 cr. India biz.”

'Badhaai Ho' was earlier slated to release on the day of Dussehra, October 19. However, the makers decided to prepond the release date and changed it to October 18. It faced box office clash with Arjun Kapoor and Parineet Chopra starrer 'Namaste England'.

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, 'Badhaai Ho' tells about the story of a young married man who is embarrassed by his parents' sex life.

It is great to see Ayushmann back with a film that subtly discusses issues that people refrain from talking in public. From Vicky Donor in 2012 to Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015, from Bareilly Ki Barfi to Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Ayushmann has been a part of coming-of-age films.

Sanya, on the other hand, has had a great film journey so far. From Dangal to Patakha and now Badhaai Ho, the curly-haired beauty has proved that she is here to play very long innings.
