IIFA 2017: Shahid Kapoor wins Best Actor award; Sushant Singh Rajput posts cryptic tweet!
If the reports are anything to go by, then SSR took to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet soon after Shahid was announced as the winner.
Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput set the stage on fire with a sizzling performance at the IIFA 2017 event in New York Saturday. He was one of the nominees in the Best Actor category for his role in ‘M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story’. However, he couldn’t quite bag the trophy as Shahid Kapoor emerged winner for his Tommy Singh act in ‘Udta Punjab’.
If the reports are anything to go by, then SSR took to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet soon after Shahid was announced as the winner.
He tweeted:
Though it is not very clear what his tweet implies, it does look mysterious!
Sushant made his movie debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che!’ in 2013. His acting journey – from being a TV actor to a film star has indeed been an enriching one. He will soon be seen in ‘Chandamama Door Ke’, a film based on an astronaut’s endeavour.
According to Deccan Chronicle, while talking about his IIFA nominations, SSR during a press conference before the awards event said, “Me and IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) go back a long way. Back in 2006, I was a background dancer performing at IIFA. In 2013, when I made my debut (Kai Po Che), I got a chance to perform, and in 2017, I’m nominated as Best Actor. My mother would say that your life is a story that you tell…”
