Interestingly, Ajay Devgn had played Bajirao Singham in the remake of Suriya’s ‘Singam’. Together with Rohit Shetty, Devgn delivered an original Hindi sequel to the Tamil film. Titled ‘Singham Returns’, Ajay created waves at the Box Office.

The Singam franchise in Tamil has proved to be a roaring success and now that Sunny Deol has joined the club, it looks likely that the latest Hindi version too will be a massive hit.

According to a report in Bollywoodlife.com, originally attributed to Mumbai Mirror, a source while talking about the film said, “When Sunny watched the original, he was impressed and immediately agreed to come on-board the Hindi remake. He will be playing a cop chasing a criminal gang and is set to start shooting by the year-end. Ravi is currently in the US working on the Hindi script and will start scouting for locations after the final script takes shape. Thakur Anoop Singh, who was the villain in the original, will be in the Hindi remake as well.”

Cinematographer-filmmaker Ravi K Chandran, best known for his camera works in ‘Ghajini’, ‘My Name Is Khan’ and ‘OK Jaanu’ will make his Hindi directorial debut while Jayantilal Gada will produce the film.
