Super 30: Hrithik Roshan is the perfect choice to play my role, says Mathematician Anand Kumar
The film is scheduled to hit the screens on January 25, 2019.
New Delhi: Superstar Hrithik Roshan will be playing a Maths teacher in 'Queen' fame director Vikas Bahl's 'Super 30'. This is for the first time that the actor will be seen playing a teacher on the big screens. The film is based on the real-life of Mathematician Anand Kumar, who through his 'Super 30' programme helped kids nail IIT.
When asked about who first approached him for the biopic, Kumar told Zee News Online exclusively that it was writer Sanjeev Dutta who first came to him 8 years ago. He said, “Sanjeev Dutta, who wrote dialogues for 'Barfi!, 'Kites', 'Life In A Metro' etc came to me with the idea of making 'Super 30' on the big screens some eight years ago.”
Kumar praised Hrithik's hard-working attitude saying, “When I got to know Hrithik Roshan will be playing the lead in my film, I couldn't believe it but once I met him, I was fully convinced. He has a lot of zest to excel in whatever he does. He wanted to do something different and good. He put in six months to transform himself and has done a great job. He is very hard working.”
“We teach hard-working kids at 'Super 30' who never shy away from putting that extra effort into achieving success. And it the hard work that takes you ahead of others”, he added.
Talking about the kind of prep work the 'Super 30' film team did, Kumar said, “I spent hours with Hrithik at his house where we discussed the film and he tried to get the nuances right. His team recorded 30-40 hour long video of my classroom in Bihar to get the prep for the film right. He is also expected to visit the place soon.”
I am looking forward to watching the film and will surely arrange a special screening for the 'Super 30' kids.
