The film had a decent start at the Box Office on Friday and saw an upward trend on Saturday. The Suresh Triveni directorial has minted Rs 7 crores so far. The film marks Triveni’s debut as a full-length feature film director.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the BO collection figures on Friday and Saturday:

He tweeted: “#TumhariSulu witnesses a SUPERB 60.63% growth on Sat... Biz on Sun will only go higher... Fri 2.87 cr, Sat 4.61 cr. Total: ₹ 7.48 cr. India biz (sic).”

In the comedy-drama Balan plays a radio jockey again after Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai starring Sanjay Dutt.

The film stars theatre actor Manav Kaul as Sulochana’s (Vidya) husband. Also featuring Neha Dhupia, Malishka Mendonsa, Tumhara Sulu has helped Vidya claim her spot at the Box Office.

Vidya hasn’t had a great time at the Box Office for quite some time now. Her previous releases – Begum Jaan, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, Te3n, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Bobby Jasoos, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Ghanchakkar couldn’t create an impression in terms of business.

And hence Tumhari Sulu, produced by T-Series and Atul Kasbekar's Ellipsis Entertainment will play a pivotal role in resurrecting her innings at the Box Office.
