Greater Noida: Hinduja group flagship firm Ashok Leyland Wednesday unveiled four vehicles, of which two will be launched in India in the next financial year.

The company will launch 'Guru' in ICV and 'Sunshine' in the bus segment in the market later this year.

Managing Director Vinod K Dasari said at the Auto Expo here.


It also showcased a hybrid bus 'Hybus' and Euro 6 Tractor truck. Ashok Leyland's 'Hybus' claims to be India's first non-plugin hybrid bus.


"Especially designed for urban transport with start-stop cycles, ultracapacitors provide the diesel motor with necessary power for movement," the company said.


GURU, a 12 tonne, three cylinder engine ICV, will be launched in the first quarter of next fiscal.


The company displayed a variant of their popular small commercial vehicle DOST.


EURO 6 showcased at the Auto Expo is a 49 tonne tractor truck and meets Euro 6 emission norms. Ashok Leyland's Sunshine' is a school bus and is rollover compliant and frontal crash protected.
