Good news! Meru cabs slash prices in Delhi by 25%

New Delhi: To make the hay while the sun shine, Taxi operator Meru Cabs has cut down its fares by 25% in Delhi.
With around 35 percent surge in demand for Meru Cabs, as reported by The Economic Times, during the ongoing Odd-Even scheme, the can company plans to cash on the opportunity created by the 'car rationing' scheme. The move will narrow down the difference in the fares charged vis-a-vis the fares of cab aggregators Ola and Uber
The new prices will be effective from Friday and are expected to last till mid-May. Depending on the surge in demand for the company cabs, the reduced fares may get extended beyond the month of May as well.
The cab service provider will be charging Rs 17.25 per km, against Rs 23 as charged earlier for a ride in its sedan.
For small cabs, the Meru fare will be Rs 11.25 per km, against Rs 15 per km,a s charged earlier. The Odd-Even scheme is expected to remain implemented till April 30.
