Hero MotoCorp, has just expanded its scooter portfolio with the launch of Maestro Edge scooter. At this event Hero has also showcased another scooter model called the Duet that is going to be launch in a couple of weeks. Hero has already started taking booking for the Maestro Edge and deliveries for this scooter will start from 13th October during the festival season.


The Maestro is targeting male buyers with its more sculpted looks; where as the Duet that was on show is being positioned as a unisex scooter. Both scooters will feature a brand new 110cc air-cooled engine that puts out 9PS of power at 8000rpm. Also keeping up with the competition both these new scooters will have front telescopic suspension along with a combined braking system.


Coming to the features for the Maestro, Hero has given it tubeless tyres, 12-inch alloy wheels, engine immobilizer and optional mobile charging unit and under seat lamp. While on the Duet gets chrome-finished rear panels, 3D emblem, twin hold grab rail, tubeless tyres, a digital-analogue console, etc.


Hero hasn’t released fuel efficiency numbers but one can expect it to be in the range of 55-60kmpl (claimed figure). The Maestro will be available in LX and VX trims, the Maestro Edge is priced in the range of Rs. 49,500 - Rs. 50,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
