New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp is set to launch a new product from its stable Hero Splendor iSmart 110.


This motorbike is the first indigenously developed Hero product after the split with its Japenese partner Honda.


The high points of new Hero Splendor iSmart 110:


The motorbike is equipped with the start-stop system (i3S Technology) that made its appearance firt in the Splendor iSmart. The i3S technology helps in saving fuel by manupulating the shut and starting of the engine in situations.


The bike is powered by a 110cc displacement, single-cylinder air-cooled motor delivering 9.1PS of power and a peak torque of 9Nm.


Power will be transferred to the rear-wheel via a 4-speed transmission. Hero’s new powerplant will have to live with the indestructible tag that has been associated with the iconic 97.2cc motor which made it the highest selling motorcycle in India.


The bike claims to deliver over 80kmpl (claimed figure), and is estimated that it will be priced around Rs 55,000-Rs 60,000
