New Delhi, Aug 28: Believe it or not, Bollywood star Govinda, the jumping jack of modern times is all set to don a new look, albeit a serious one this time.
Known for his comic roles, the artist says he is turning
down run-of-the-mill offers nowadays, as he wants to do
meaningful roles in an effort to project himself as an
accomplished actor.
Govinda, who was here to promote his forthcoming film 'Raja Bhaiya', said he would do more serious films and not accept anything and everything which comes his way.
"I used to do so many films at a time. Now I am deliberately cutting down films," he said but declined to reveal what was in store for the viewers.
"Surprise is a big thing in itself, wait for three more months and you will find a new Govinda," he said indicating his intention to portray different roles.
About his forthcoming releases and his stereo-typed comic roles, a beaming Govinda said "even though my films are on expected lines, I always strive to do expected things in an unexpected way."
Asked whether his image as a humour actor would hamper his endeavour to do some serious roles, he admitted it was difficult to break that image but exuded confidence in his new endeavour. "Every person, whether he is an artist or not, should give a new look to his image."
