Lucknow, July 02: Uttar Pradesh unit of Samajwadi
Party today appealed to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to
ban the proposed ‘Gaurav Rath Yatra’ of Gujarat Chief Minister
Narendra Modi.
"The Gaurav Rath Yatra of Narendra Modi would not only
vitiate the communal atmosphere of Gujarat but also that of
the entire nation and should be immediately banned," party
President Ram Saran Das told newspersons here.
Referring to the recent resolution passed at the Kurukshetra convention of RSS advocating Trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir, Das said such a move was against the interest of the country and would adversely affect state's sovereignty. Ram Saran Das also alleged that in view of the government's failure on all fronts, BJP was reverting back to its Hindutva agenda and bent upon spoiling the communal amity. Bureau Report
