New Delhi/Hyderabad: Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has launched the S 400 –a new variant of its flagship luxury model the S-Class. The car has been priced at Rs 1.31 crore (ex-showroom Hyderabad).

Power and performance


Under the hood of the new S 400 is a powerful 3-litre, V6 petrol engine that produces 333 hp and a massive 480 Nm of peak torque. The engine is motorized by the revolutionary 7G-TRONIC PLUS transmission from Mercedes-Benz.


Exteriors


The car has arched roofline with flowing contours. It has a large grille with four louvers clubbed with the three-dimensional design of the chrome trim and grille interior. It features LED headlamps and sunroof.


Interiors


The S 400 interiors feature plush leather upholstery, with the centre console, seats and door panels in leather. The dashboard is a combination of contemporary design featuring sleek horizontal lines with wood trim. S 400 features individual entertainment systems in the rear.


Energizing Hot Stone Massage


The S-Class offers a rejuvenating hot stone massage function with six different programs ranging from relaxing and stimulating to an energizing effect. Occupants can choose from two intensities – low and high, and the seat backrest comes with a massage mat with 14 air chambers which can be inflated or deflated via fast responding solenoid valves, developing a wave-like massage effect. The massage function can be operated via remote with durations ranging from 12– 15 minutes.


Safety and comfort


The S 400 features the advanced AIRMATIC suspension that ensures smooth ride quality. It is equipped with several safety features like ESP, 8 airbags, PRE Safe, Brake Assist, Adaptive Brakes with HOLD function, ASR and Hill Start Assist.
