The MV Agusta F3 800 RC gets power from the same 798cc, liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder engine that propels the standard version as well.
The exotic Italian superbike manufacturer MV Agusta has announced the launch of its limited edition F3 800 RC (Reparto Corse) in India with a price tag of Rs 19.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Production of this exclusive collector’s edition motorcycle is limited to just 250 units; out of which, only 9 are allocated for India. It is a road-going replica of the team Reparto Corse's F3 800 ridden by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti in the FIM Superbike World Championship. Along with the unique paint scheme, the bike also gets an 'AMG' badging - the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz - which owns a 25 per cent stake in MV.
Commenting on the launch, Ajinkya Firodia, managing director, MV Agusta India Pvt Ltd, said, “We are excited to bring in the last 9 AMG branded F3 800 RCs to India, and have already received 5 confirmations of the same! The F3 800 RC is truly a collector’s edition; as it offers not only an unparalleled blend of power, performance and handling, but each motorcycle is autographed by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti; and comes with a co-branding with MV Agusta’s partners, AMG (the high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz). Anyone who gets their hands on an F3 800 RC special series bike will be able to translate these thrills to roads and track days. The iconic branding by AMG and peerless riding dynamics of these machines underline MV Agusta's tagline of Passion Precisely Crafted.”
The MV Agusta F3 800 RC gets power from the same 798cc, liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder engine that propels the standard version as well. The motor puts out a maximum power output of 150PS at 13,000rpm, with torque standing at 88Nm at 10,600rpm, and the limiter cutting in at 13,500rpm. The bike has a dry weight of just 173 kg which helps it to accelerate faster and provides performance that is almost comparable to a litre-class machine. It has a top speed of 269kmph which is just 30kmph lesser than the speed limit of a production motorcycle.
The bike comes packed with a lot of the most advanced technologies available in the market including MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) with six injectors, engine control unit Eldor EM2.0, throttle body full drive-by-wire Mikuni, pencil-coil with ion-sensing technology, torque control with four maps, 8 level traction control with 4 modes, Electronic quick shift MV EAS (Electronically Assisted Shift) and a lot more.
Suspension set-up of the MV Agusta F3 800 RC comprises of 43mm adjustable Marzocchi USD forks at the front, while the single-sided rear swingarm gets progressive Sachs single shock absorber with rebound and compression damping and spring preload adjustment. The braking duties are handled by double 320mm floating discs with four-piston Brembo radial-type monobloc calipers at the front and a single 220mm steel disc with two-piston Brembo calipers at the rear.
