Royal Enfield posts 73% jump in October sales
Continuing its strong sales momentum, niche bike maker Royal Enfield posted 73 percent surge in total sales at 44,138 units in October 2015 compared to the same month last year.
Bengaluru: Continuing its strong sales momentum, niche bike maker Royal Enfield posted 73 percent surge in total sales at 44,138 units in October 2015 compared to the same month last year.
"We have been continuing our strong sales momentum and performance in 2015. The company has posted sales of 44,138 units in combined domestic wholesale and exports in October 2015, recording a growth of 73 percent over same period last year," the company said in a statement here.
The company also announced opening of its exclusive stores in Madrid (Spain) and Paris (France).
The new stores in these countries are a part of Royal Enfield's growth strategy in Europe and focused international thrust of leading and expanding the global mid-sized motorcycle segment (250-750cc), the company said.
Royal Enfield is rapidly expanding its presence in these markets with over 80 dealerships across France and 25 in Spain, it said.
In France, the brand has witnessed an upward growth of 60 percent in the first seven months of 2015, compared to the same period in last year and has plans of opening close to three more such stores in the coming year, the company said.
In Spain, while the two-wheeler market has grown by 23 percent, Royal Enfield has received a very encouraging response, reporting a sales growth of 300 percent between January and August 2015, over the same period in the previous year, the company said.
Rider Mania, the ultimate annual motorcycling festival organised by Royal Enfield, is all set to make Goa abuzz with the familiar sound of Royal Enfield motorcycles from November 20 to November 22 in Goa, the company said.
