New Delhi, Nov 15: West Indies captain Carl Hooper will not tour Bangladesh at the conclusion of the current one-day series in India due to a knee injury, team officials said today. Hooper missed Tuesday's third one-day international against India at Rajkot because of the injury sustained soon after the West Indies arrived in India last month.

Even though he is expected to play the remaining four one-dayers in India, Hopper will sit out the two Tests and three one-day internationals the team plays in Bangladesh in late November and December.

"Although the injury has been providing Hooper with ongoing discomfort and cause for concern, it has been successfully managed so far on tour," team manager Ricky Skerritt said in the statement.
"Hooper has now decided to undergo the required corrective surgery at the end of November so that he will be fully recovered by the start of our pre-World Cup camp in January," Skerritt said. Bureau Report
