Chandigarh, Nov 24: Haryana government will construct 73 more sub-stations in the state with a view to bring about a qualitative improvement in power supply to the consumers. Emphasis will also be on streamlining the power distribution and transmission system, a spokesman of the Uttar Haryana Bjli Vitran Nigam said.
Chief minister, Om Prakash Chautala will lay the foundation stones of 33 Kv sub-station at Khanpur Kalan and Bulana in district Sonipat on November 25.
He said that the sub-stations would be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore with financial assistance from the Union Government under accelerated power development and reforms programme.
With the construction of a 33 kv sub-station at Khanpur Kalan, as many as 4871 electricity consumers of 17 villages will be benefited by way of improved voltage and continuity of power supply, he said.

The nigam would install an eight mva transformer in the sub-station and it would be connected with 132 kv sub-station Gohana through a 12 km long 33 kv line. The estimated cost of this project was Rs 1.26 crore, he added.
