New Delhi: Home grown handset maker Micromax has launched the Canvas 5, its new flagship smartphone. The phone has been priced at Rs 11,999.


The phone features a 5.2 FHD screen with corning gorilla glass and has a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.


The Canvas 5 is powered by a 1.3GHz Octa-Core processor clubbed with 3GB DDR3 RAM. It houses a 13MP rear camerawith 5P lens & Blue Optical Filter while there is a 5MP front camera. Both the shutters are flash enabled.


Running Android Lollipop 5.1,  the smartphone is 4G LTE and CAT 4 enabled. For connectivity it has Wi fi, USB and bluetooth. It has a 16GB memory and expandable upto 64GB.


It also packs a  2900mAh battery claiming 275 hours of standby time and 10 hours of talk time, the company says.
