New Delhi: State-owned telecommunication company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced an unlimited free calls to any landline and mobile network of any service provider on Sundays pan India starting August 15.


The Times of India reported that BSNL announced the offer in a move to promote landline business.


Earlier in May 2016, BSNL had announced a night scheme where in subscribers could make unlimted free calls to any network, landline and mobile, from 9 pm to 7 am.


The state-owned telecom firm informed that the competent authority on recommendation of tariff committee has approved unlimited free calling from BSNL landline to any network's mobile and landline on all Sundays on pan India.


"The competent authority on recommendation of tariff committee - CFA (Consumer Fixed Access) has approved unlimited free calling from BSNL landline to any network's mobile and landline on all Sundays on pan India basis with effect from August 15, 2016," a press statement issued by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) headquarters Delhi said.


In April of 2015, BSNL introduced unlimited free calling during night hours from its Landline phones to all Landline phones and Mobile phones of all service provider’s network on All India basis w.e.f. 1st May 2015.


This Unlimited free night calling are available from 09.00 pm to 07.00 am.


Under this scheme all major Landline General Plans of Rural & Urban areas, Landline Special plans as well as all major Combo (Landline +Broadband) plans are covered, a statement by BSNL read then.
