New Delhi: There seems to be no respite to Flipkart from it mounting woes. Now many sellers on Flipkart have increased the cost of products by up to 15 to 20 percent, starting Wednesday.

The sellers are protesting Flipkart's revised fee structure and return policy. The e-tailer recently cut down the return period on products (electronics, smartphones and books) from 30 days to 10 days. It also hiked the commission charges on sellers by 10% to 40%, and said sellers will have to foot the bill in case of returns.

The forum for merchants selling on e-commerce websites and apps, eSeller Surksha, protesting against Flipkart's new rules, have asked sellers to increase the prices of products on Flipkart.

As a measure of protest, many sellers were showing products Out of Stock on Tuesday.

As per eSeller Suraksha’s calculations, the increase in commission will result in 200% to 300% increase in fixed fee for every processed transaction.

On the other hand, returns would cost a seller Rs 108.9-197.45 for a product worth Rs 600 and having a shipping weight of 400 grams.
