New Delhi: FMCG firm ITC on Thursday reported an increase of 10 percent in standalone net profit at Rs 2,385 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,166 crore during the April-June quarter a year ago.


Net sales of the Kolkata-based company moved up 8.28 per cent to Rs 13,156.68 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 12,150.48 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, ITC said in a BSE filing.


Shares of the company ended 0.06 per cent lower at Rs 250.65 on BSE.
