Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 11: A day before the state cabinet is to consider the opposition demand for holding an assembly session to bring in a resolution against the Speaker, Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony met Governor Sikander Bakht at the Raj Bhavan today. The Chief Minister, who had a 15-minute meeting with the Governor, however, declined to speak to mediapersons.

Political observers attach significance to the meeting as the state cabinet is to consider tomorrow the opposition LDF's demand for holding an assembly session to bring in a resolution against the speaker, Vakkom Purushothaman.

With the state politics on the boil due to the flare-up in the Congress infighting, senior leader K Karunakaran and LDF leaders have had separate meetings with the Governor recently.
