New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has agreed to hear plea alleging surge pricing by app-based cab services Uber and Ola during OddEven days.


Giving notice to the state government, the Court has sought response from the Delhi government on steps taken to curb alleged surge pricing by app-based cab service providers.


The court will hear the matter on April 25.


The demand for app-based services like Ola or Uber during the car rationing days of OddEven scheme rises, is resulting in application of surge pricing, and pinching the purse of office-goes heavily.


As per reports, the office goers are paying three-times of what they pay on other days.


The ‘surge pricing is applicable when there is steep rise in demand at point in time. It can range from zero which is no surge to as much as four times that of the fare during peak demand hours.
