New Delhi: Budget airline SpiceJet on Saturday said it is doing its bit to help people stranded because of the Jat agitation for reservation in Haryana with additional flights.

"We have initiated operation of additional commercial flights on the Delhi-Amritsar and Delhi-Chandigarh routes for today (Saturday) to evacuate the stranded passengers while also providing a feasible mode of transport to the others as a matter of caution," said an airline statement.


Life was hit in Haryana as major intersections, roadways and railways in Haryana were blocked.


"In this unfortunate hour we at SpiceJet extend our bid in facilitating those thousands of harrowed commuters," said SpiceJet, adding it remain committed until normalcy returns.
