Mumbai, Sept 30: BJP today sought resignations of Medical Education Minister Digvijay Singh and Higher and Technical Education Minister Dilip Valse-Patil for "dilly-dally" in admission process to medical and engineering
colleges in Maharashtra.
"We demand that both Khanvilkar and Valse-Patil be divested of their portfolios as they have failed to handle the admission process, jeopardising the aspirations of thousands of students,” BJP state unit chief Gopinath Munde told reporters here.
On the issue of fee structure, Munde said that the government along with representatives of private institutions and the opposition party members should have jointly taken the decision.
Even the government had rejected the suggestion given by the opposition that combined entrance test should not be conducted this year to complete the admission process in time.
Attacking the government over tackling the scarcity situation prevailing across the state, Munde said that he would be touring the affected districts between October 2 to 20.
