New Delhi: Encouraged by good show by manufacturing and capital goods sectors, the India's Industrial Production made a recovery in June.


Factory output measured in terms of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in June stood at 2.1 percent, the data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) showed on Friday.


The IIP had registered a growth of about 1.2 percent in May after seeing a contraction in the previous month.


According to data, output of consumer durables, which include white goods like television, refrigerators and washing machines, grew by 5.6 percent June.


Industrial production grew at 0.6 percent in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal, compared to 3.3 percent a year ago.
