CET to complete selection by September 18
Bangalore, Sept 04: Karnataka minister for higher education Dr G Parameshwara today said the Common Entrance Test cell would complete the process of selection of students to professional courses on September 18.

Till date, the CET has selected 19,700 students for
admission into engineering courses out of the 28,613 seats
available, he told reporters here.
The casual round for those students who seek modifications in courses or rectification of anomalies in seat allotment would be held from September 22 to October 18, he said. Parameshwara said the selection process to fill up 1903 medical seats, 1289 dental and 1078 seats in Indian system of medicine had already been completed.
He said the government had issued a circular to colleges to commence classes from October first week and added some of the colleges, which have already admitted students, had made preparation for commencement of classes by month end.
