Budget 2016 impact: Sensex closes 150 points down, Nifty below 7,000-level
After making an intra-day movement of over 800 points, the benchmark BSE Sensex felt by over 150 points to close at 23002.00 points.
New Delhi: After making an intra-day movement of over 800 points, the benchmark BSE Sensex felt by over 150 points to close at 23002.00 points.
Nifty also felt by 43 points to close at 6,987.05, below the psychological 7,000-mark.
Following the various taxation proposals of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during the Union Budget 2016-17 presentation in the Parliament on Monday, Sensex crashed by 660 points while the Nifty felt by over 200 points.
