Blackberry preparing to power business with more Android launches in 2016
With a great response seen to its flagship Google Android Lollipop Blackberry Priv, the company is planning to launch more Android smartphones in 2016.

New Delhi: Blackberry Priv, the Google Android Lollipop, is observing ''encouraging'' sales that the company is planning to launch more Android smartphones in 2016.
Canada-based company said that it has received positive response to its first Android device which was launched in November 2015.
The device was initially launched in the US, Canada, UK and Germany. In the US, the company the company has also extended distribution to other network carriers Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. It already existed on AT&T. The device has also been launched in more markets like France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Hong Kong.
It launched the device in India earlier this week at Rs 62,990.
While announcing the Q3 results, the company's CEO John Chen had said that, "We are stepping up investments to drive continued software growth and the additional PRIV launches. I anticipate this will result in sequential revenue growth in our software, hardware and messaging businesses in Q4"
The CEO said that there would be at least one Android BlackBerry phone in 2016, but added that a second 2016 Android device was also a possibility.
The company had announced in 2015 that if the company failed to make profit in 2016, it will altogether dump its handset manufacturing business.
