Mumbai: Central Railways (CR) has introduced a 'panic button' keeping in mind the security of women passengers in trains. On pressing the button in case of emergency the officials will receive an alert.
The security feature—Red push button—installed inside each of the four ladies coach of a local train was launched last week on a trial basis.
At present, one can just avail helpline numbers or SMS in case of emergency to alert the concerned authorities.
