Under the Hay Group's NextBig100 programme, founders and leaders of startups can look forward to insights, guidance, mentoring and coaching, which will help them move from being a startup to a full grown organisation.

Some of the selected startups for this programme include Competition Buzz, Zooter, Beatroot, Krave On, The Online Yogi, ShutterSteam, YouthConnect, PickMe, Floh and Travel Triangle, among others.

The NextBig100 participants will have access to Hay Group experts, who advise and support them on all their 'talent and growth challenges'.

Hay Group organised parallel city chapter events in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi wherein startups from the NextBig100 programme were taken through leadership development and mentoring sessions and experience sharing by senior leaders of Microsoft, InMobi, Snapdeal and Hay Group.

"If Indian startup founders want to achieve success, they need to increasingly focus on their networker and team builder roles," Hay Group India Director Debabrat Mishra said.

He added that the trend of co-founders having the same team profiles preference also poses a serious challenge.

"Founders should ensure that the team that they get on-board supplement their skill-sets and competencies. Hiring clones of yourself is never a good idea," Mishra added.

A recent report by IT industry body Nasscom had said that India ranks third among global startup ecosystems with more than 4,200 new-age companies.

The report said that Indian technology startups landscape has seen a "tremendous" growth in the emergence of innovative startups and creative entrepreneurs.
