Philips in-car air purifier launched in India at Rs 7,999

Sensing a growing market for air purification devices in the country, Philips` automotive division Lumileds India on Tuesday launched an in-car air purifier -- GoPure Compact 110 -- priced at Rs 7,999.

New Delhi: Sensing a growing market for air purification devices in the country, Philips' automotive division Lumileds India today launched an in-car air purifier -- GoPure Compact 110 -- priced at Rs 7,999.

"GoPure Compact 110, designed especially for the Indian market, will help users eliminate in-car air pollution.

Currently, we are launching this device as an after-market product to be sold through the online channel," Lumileds India MD Rajiv Khosla told reporters.

"As the market evolves, we may launch more variants of this device and also sell the product through other retail channels."

Khosla did not share revenue the company expects from this product, saying "it is too early to put a number to sales".

The product will be imported from the company's manufacturing plants in China.
