1. File tax returns on time


It's very important that you file tax returns on time in order to seek refunds since IT department doesn't calculate and send tax refund on its own. So, you must file tax return at the earliest.


2. Online filing of IT returns


Filing tax returns online has become compulsory from last year for people expect8ing tax refund. Also, filing online saves you from cumbersome paper work and other procedural errors.


3. Crosscheck Form 16 with Form 26AS


It's important to match the TDS shown in Form 16 with Form 26AS as based on the status available in Form 26AS IT department refunds the amount.


4. Mention correct TAN number


Any entity with a valid TAN number must mention correct TAN number while filing IT Return. In case, wrong TAN number is mentioned, IT department may not be able to refund the due money.


5. Choose correct ITR form, submit right bank account details & address
