Thanks to Najeeb Tarakai's knock of 90 runs, Afghanistan summed up to a total of 184 runs against Ireland in their second T20I in the series. The Irish boys stepped in with all hope to chase the total until the 7th over when things turned completely in favour of Afghanistan. Skipper Asghar Stanikzai introduced 18-year-old Rashid Khan in the seventh over and what he delivered is history.

His first over witnessed the departure of Kevin O'Brien and Gary Wilson on a similar delivery which both misjudged – a Googly. In six balls he scalped two wickets giving away just three runs.

The leggie came back in the ninth over to dismiss Lorcan Tucker in his very first ball. In the fourth delivery, frustrated Greg Thompson stepped out for the big one, but the googly struck again. In walked debutant Bary McCarthy and LBW it was, to send him back for a duck. Although Rashid missed his hat-trick, but the leg-spinner claimed a triple-wicket maiden.

Rashid Khan's fabulous spell gave Afghanistan yet another victory over Ireland by 17 runs. They now lead the series by 2-0.
