The IPL mini-auction will take place on December 23 in Kochi. Ahead of the Indian Premier Legaue's next season in 2023, players will go under the hammer. The 10 IPL teams will need to release players ahead of the next season and those players alongwith other new players. This is not a mega auction that took place in February this year where almost all players went under the hammer. The ten franchises will have an additional Rs 5 crore purse to spend, taking the total auction purse to Rs 95 crore.

Punjab Kings has the largest purse left over from last auction, which is Rs 3.45 crore. Lucknow Super Giants, at the same time, had exhausted all their purse. CSK were left with Rs 2.95 rore purse whule RCB had Rs 1.55 crore. Rajasthan Royals were left with 0.95 crore purse while Kolkata Knight Riders were left with Rs 0.45 crore.
