New Delhi: In 2013, India traveled to West Indies to play a tri-series involving Sri Lanka. The MS Dhoni-led Indian team played Asian neighbours Lanka in the final at Port of Spain.

But after winning the final by one wicket with MS Dhoni playing one his best finishing knocks, the captain refused to collect the trophy. He insisted Virat Kohli to do the honours to a surprised Arun Lal who was conducting the post-match presentation program.


It revealed thus that, Dhoni, who was injured most the time during the tournament but played the final, wanted to give Kohli opportunity to collect the trophy.


In Dhoni's absence, Kohli have led the team to the final, setting up the platform for his skipper. Kohli, humbled with Dhoni's gesture, also refused to do it.


Finally, they joined hands in lifting the trophy, and India celebrated not only the win but also the enduring brotherhood between two of it's most beloved players.


And the glow in the the players' faces told a story of brotherhood, which was ignored so many times.
