The Senior Men’s Selection Committee on Wednesday picked India’s squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies to be played in the Caribbean Islands and Florida, USA. The Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee has given the likes of Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal a chance to shine in the Indian colors. It is the maiden callup to the Team India T20I side for both the MI and RR batter.

The 5-match T20I series will begin in August as per various media reports. Hardik Pandya has been announced as captain and Suryakumar Yadav has been named as his deputy.


Interestingly, KKR batter Rinku Singh's name has been missing after various reports suggested he would get a chance. Senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are again missing from the T20I squad.


Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi are also the two names who have made comeback in the international stage. Team now has three leggies - Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Bishnoi.
